Zamenhof Day 2019

Another year, another celebration. This time we had our Zamenhof Day celebrated at Pingtung Park on Sunday, December 22nd, 2019. Pingtung Park is located about a 10-15 minute walk away from Pingtung train station. It was held in a nice and cozy cafe that sells various delicious creative food, such as curry rice, pizza, and cakes. I ordered curry rice because, to be honest, that is my favorite!

Nee's Book Depository Is Launched

You may have noticed from my previous article entitled " Book Publishing " that I have started a new project. This project comes from my personal experience. I have been dreaming about it for a long time. The right timing and great passion for languages have made my dream comes true.

Watch TV on YouTube

Watching TV in your target language is also one of many good ways to learn and improve your language skills. Some of you may have a satellite TV at home, and that's a great tool. If you don't have one, don't worry, as long as you have good internet, you also can watch foreign TV channels.

Book Publishing

I was always amazed by friends from the language communities who were able to publish their books. I could see so much effort, dedication, and knowledge put into writing the book. It is one of my dreams to publish a book, my own book. The purpose is to share with others because as they said, “sharing is caring”, isn’t it?

Learn Toki Pona to Understand the Basics of Language Learning

My friend, Sanda, is a native Chinese and Hakka speaker from Taiwan. Like most Chinese speakers, Sanda has difficulties in learning English. English, being a language from different language group with Chinese, has a lot of differences, such as pronunciation and conjugation. Sanda was demotivated to learn it and she believed that learning English is difficult. However, as a Chinese speaker, it is easier to learn Japanese. Japanese is one of the languages that Sanda knows.

Esperanto Friendship

We have already known that, through Esperanto, we can make friends with foreigners because Esperanto is a true language of friendship. I live in Taoyuan city (桃園) which is located in northern Taiwan. Although the number of Esperantists in northern Taiwan is not many if compared with that in the southern part where the Esperanto movement is growing more vigorously, I still manage to make friends by Esperanto.
